899.0. "Brute Force" by HUMOR::EPPES (I'm not making this up, you know) Wed Aug 09 1995 11:48

Now that there are a couple of notes asking whether "Brute Force" is
available on video, I guess it needs its own topic. So here it is.

Recently a noter asked if the film, Brute Force, was available in
cassette & if so who the vender might be. I too would like to know. It
was a fine action film of it's time but for some reason it has long
been out of circulation. Has this movie now become a so called vanished
film due to deteriation of the film stock? I doubt it because it was
filmed in B & W. I realize that the previous request for information
was moved to #3 in the directory but I think that was a mistake as it
is not seen unless someone idly looks at it.

To answer the previous two question: the Internet Movie Database (now at
http://us.imdb.com or http://uk.imdb.com) now includes links to stores that
sell videos; there's one listed there as of this writing that has a
Laserdisc available. Make sure you look for the 1947 version (there were
two silents with the same title).
