You're confused, Sean - you're talking about *Ghost in the Machine* a
fairly decent b-grade with decent computer effects. I'll put the
ending after a spoiler :
They end up blowing apart the serial killer's physical presence, which
looks like a bunch of colored floating marbles ala Lawnmower Man using
a really big magnet, after a typical b-grade chase-ohno the heroine's
in danger-damn I dropped my weapon-gee we're safe-argh no we're not-the
bad guy's back-bang he's explosively dead-type finale.
Hope this helps :-)

Well, I saw the title come up and it didn't say "in the Machine",
but I believe you.
And I read your spoiler, which doesn't contain too many surprises
that would ruin the movie. 8^)

No, not even decent for "B-grade."
And I won't dispute that the special effects were state-of-the-art,
but they also weren't very imaginative.
Good premise at the start about how he gets INTO the machine, horrid
premise about how he works while he's there.
Ultra cliche.
Waste of time.
