He's right - the Maurice Chevalier "impersonations" were from "Monkey
Business" (1931). But "Captain Spalding" was in "Animal Crackers"
(1930).
Had to be the first snotty correction.

I did not mean to imply that the Capt Spalding character was in MONKEY
BUSINESS. I was just using it as a generic Marx Brothers header.
I'll be more aware of my noting procedures in the future.
While on the subject, Groucho's characters always had unusual names,
can you remember his name in MONKEY BUSINESS? I don't remember them
ever mentioning each other by name in that particular movie, but it has
been a long time since I've seen it.

| Hey, don't let what was intended as a good-natured tease deter you from
using "Hooray for Captain Spalding" as a generic Marx Bros. header.
After all, Groucho used it as the theme for "You Bet Your Life" for
years. And if it was good enough for him...
As to his name in "Monkey Business", my memory is a bit hazy as well.
But it seems to me that whenever I've seen a cast listing for this
film, the brothers are listed simply as "four stowaways" or something
like.
