707.0. "Orion Pictures" by MSAM00::ROBERTLIM () Sun Nov 27 1994 11:40

    Noticed that the nodename for the conference is Orion. Saw many
    memorable movies under the Orion Pictures' marque.

    Can anyone gives some background on the cause of Orion's downfall?

    Pls give a list of Orion's pictures (greatest and worst)

    Many thanks

	If I remember it was some bad investments in some films that
	ended up as box office flops.

"Silence of the Lambs" was probably considered a
financial as well as critical success, but it was
too late to save them.

Wasn't "Dances with Wolves" also an Orion picture? There have been a few
movies released in the last couple of years which were Orion's - "Blue Sky"
and "The Favour" are 2 that I can think of right now. Actually went to see
"The Favour" last summer - it stars Ken Wahl, Harley-Jane Kozack, Bill
Pulman, Elizabeth ???, and a very yummy looking Brad Pitt. I think I read
somewhere that this was one of his first movies - made before "Thelma and
Louise"
