706.0. "Judgment Night" by BUSY::BUSY::SLABOUNTY (Thailboat!!) Sat Nov 26 1994 10:35

Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr., Dennis Leary.

Emilio, Cuba and 2 other guys borrow a Winnebago [or some other
mobile home] to go into "the city" [which is never actually
defined, as far as I know ... the only possible clue being a
remark at the end about having tickets to a Bears game, so I'd
guess Chicago] to see a boxing match.

They take off, and get stuck in traffic almost immediately, so
decide to exit and take the back roads to get around the traffic
    	jam.

Well, as anyone who's seen one of these movies [or the previews
for this one] knows, you don't do this in a big city or you're
asking for trouble. And they got what they "asked" for.

They're cruising through the slums when they think they hit
someone, so they stop to take a look. They find a kid on the
side of the road who's been shot, so they take him into the
mobile home to bring him somewhere for treatment. Minutes
later they're rammed by a Cadillac and they end up wedging
themselves into an alley, and their passenger is yanked through
the rear window and shot right in front of their eyes. So they
set the mobile home on fire, which goes up in a spectacular ex-
plosion and embark on what's probably the most terrifying night
    	of their lives.

I liked it. Your typical "stalker vs. people in the right place
    	at the wrong time" movie.

    	Spolier stuff:

You knew Ray, the jerk with the big mouth, wouldn't last the
night, and you were pretty sure the other 3 would make it.
And you knew Dennis and his gang would lose.
