692.0. "Bitter Moon" by NETRIX::michaud (Tony Danza) Fri Nov 11 1994 21:39

This is another very weird film by Roman Polanski. Hugh Grant
(Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Kristin Scott Thomas play
an English couple on a cruise ship headed to India. Peter Coyote
plays a wheel-chair bound American married to a French woman
played by Emmanuelle Seigner who are also on the same ship.

Hugh get's the hots for Emmanuelle, and Peter let's Hugh know
that he can have her if he hears his story first. So Hugh
listens, and listens, and listens, to the every intimate detail
of Peter and Emmanuelle's bizarre relationship.

There is alot of sexual content in this film, not all in images,
but some of it in Peter's telling of his story. This film earns
it's R rating and I would not recommend letting even older
	children (14-16) watch this video.

As I said in the first setence, this is indeed a very weird
film. You have been warned :-)

Roman Polanski?

Didn't he also do "Close Encounter with the Third Grade?"

Assuming .1 is referring to what I think he is, yes; that's why the meet-the-
press junket is being arranged somewhere outside the US (last I heard, on a
French island off the coast of Canada).
