This is a Spike Lee which gives us a look into a slice of life of growing up in Brooklyn in the 70's. It stars Alfre Woodard as a mother of five children, and Delroy Lindo the wanna-be musician husband. Alot of the activity in the film focuses on the only girl out of the give children. There is no real plot, just a nice enjoyable look at a slice of life. Siskel & Ebert had also given it their thumbs up. BTW, the fullname of the film may actually be: Crooklyn A Spike Lee Joint! or at least that's how it's labelled everywhere on the box. Does anyone know for sure?

"A Spike Lee Joint" is also present on "Mo' Better Blues," so it might just be a hipping up of the usual director's credit. DFW | |||||

Yep. It's somewhere on all of Spike's movies. It's his signature. Greg |
