| Actually - I really liked this version of it. I've seen all 3 versions, and
while I like the 1st one best, this is my 2nd favorite. The 2nd version I
never liked much. This one I liked because while the overall story is the
same, it deals with different people in a different part of the country then
the first 2 versions... because of this, I don't really consider it a remake
of the original, it's more an add-on to the first film. Kinda.
Anyways. Thumbs up from me.

I liked it, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
The special effects were very good. For some reason, I didn't like
the ending at all.
It's been awhile since I rented it.

| Is this the one with the pods?
I remember a black and white version and one that I believe had Donald
Southerland that must have been out around 1980.
They made another one?
Why?

I think the Donald Sutherland version was a remake of the original
from the 1950's with Kevin McCarthy and who-knows-who-else.
The 80's version should have been in color ... maybe your cable
was on the blink? 8^) [And actually I think that one came out
in the mid 70's.]

| Yes, the one with Donald Southerland was in color. It was the old one that
I saw that was in black and white.

I just went back and re-read your note and this time around saw
the all-important "and" that separates the b/w movie from the
Donald Sutherland version.
So you were right, and I must be getting tired. 8^)

| A real waste, and misleading to boot.
The box cover reads something like "Body Snatchers - the Invasion continues."
So I was expecting it to pick up or follow from or do SOMETHING different
from just retelling the same old story, but it didn't and it sucked.
