| Oh no, I was hoping this incarnation of the conference would
be spared from one of these time wasting, corporate network
& resource draining topics.
If the moderator(s) are going to allow this topic, may I
suggest that *only* the questions ("quotes") be permitted,
and the "guesses" be mailed offline to the author of the
question.
Or even easier, post the question, *and* the answer (under
a <FF> like a spoiler warning).....

Speak for yourself, not the "majority". I like the idea. It gets
you *thinking*, and learning.

| Thanks. If we keep it to 1 question /1 reply there shouldn't be a
problem.
"Do I have a helmet - Easy Rider"
And now,
"Don't give me the high-hat, kid"

I do speak for the majority (you must be a new comer DEC to
not know that).
And me also thinks you didn't read my note. I did not say
to nuke this topic and discount the idea totally. If you
read my note my suggestions simply applied to the administration
of your "game".

| I've set this topic no-write, and have sent mail to the author
suggesting that FOO::TRIVIA might be a more suitable conference for
trivia-question games (people who want to find the origin of a movie
quote that they *don't* already know are still free to post it here).
It isn't that I don't enjoy this sort of thing, but it isn't something
I want to host in this conference.
If anyone would like to start up movie-related "game" topics of various
sorts, either in FOO::TRIVIA or in their own conference(s), I'd be glad
to permit pointers to those places to be posted in MOVIES, so any
interested parties can go join the fun.
As for comments on policies and procedures, I'd appreciate it if people
would send mail to the moderators (and the author of the note or notes
being debated) instead of posting their comments; makes it simpler to
make decisions and/or explanations, and to tidy up afterwards.
Sorry if I seem like a wet blanket (but then, it _is_ raining!). I've
been enjoying the recent surge of movie discussions, but I think this
topic belongs elsewhere.
Thanks,
