This one stars Richard Gere as a manic-depressive and Lena Olin as a doctor out to help him. Not much more to say about this one, it was a pretty mediocore film with mediocore acting and story line. Predictable also. Rent it only if there is nothing better to rent (which is why it took me so long to rent this one).

I disagree, at least what concerns the acting. Ok, the storyline wasn't overwhealming, but the acting of Richard Gere was very convincing as a manic-depressive person. Overall I liked the movie, although Lena Olin was not the best choice for the role. I read it was a big flop in the US. Here it's among the 3 most seen movies for several weeks, so it looks it's more a "European" movie. It was the same with "Intersection". A.

I thought it was so-so. The parts that were supposed to funny weren't because RG can't play comedy. Anyone else in the role would've made the movie a whole lot better...but I guess when you are the producer get your choice of parts to play.

Richard Gene is a manic depressive really so he was believeable in the storyline because in my eyes, its about him. cj |
