| I haven't seen it (though I'll try it on video 'cause I'm a fan of
Kristy Swanson). It faded fast in the US.

| I ended up seeing it a few months ago when the picture that I went to see was
sold out. Not a great picture - but I found it reasonably entertaining. I
wasn't expecting too much and found myself pleasantly surprised. Not as good a
picture as "Speed" overall but I found the relationship and interaction between
the two leads a lot better in this one.

I'd like to see this at some point, because I'm intruiged to know how
the two manage to 'get it on' in the car while it's still travelling at
about 90 miles an hour.

You mean Steve McQueen and Alie(sp?) McGraw???
Was that one called _The_Chase_ as well?
This one stars Kim Barfinger (barf for her acting, not looks...)
and Alec Baldwin...

You're thinking of _The Getaway_.
_The Chase_ stars Charlie Sheen and Kristy Swanson. I have no clear
idea what it's about, other than racing down the highway at high
speeds, usually with wailing police cars in pursuit.

No, The Getaway was that with McQueen, The Chase is with Brando...
I hope.

| I just rented this movie and was pleasantly suprised. I admit though
that I was suprised only because I thought it would be boring. It was
not a great movie, but was enternaining and well worth watching. Just
don't expect a classic and you might enjoy it.

| I rented this last night.... it was about what I expected (mild amusement).
I thought the cameos by the guys from the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Anthony and
Flea) were quite funny. That Flea is becoming quite the thespian - wasn't
he in "My Own Private Idaho" as well??

| Well, I finally rented this, and it makes a decent rental movie. There
are two gross developments kind of early on in the chase, which I
didn't care for at all. Other than that, it was fairly amusing. The
commentary on the media was fun; the chase itself wasn't enough to
sustain an entire movie.
During the credits, I noticed that Cary Elwes had a small part as one
of the news announcers. This surprised me, since I didn't think he'd
have to stoop to such a small part. Only it turns out that one of the
producers was a Cassian Elwes. (And Charlie Sheen was the executive
producer; perhaps he's taking a Michael Douglas approach to the movie
business.) The previous night I had rented _Hot Shots!_ -- which stars
Sheen and Elwes and costars Swanson. Kind of a mini-reunion.

Kristi Swanson was in "Hot Shots"?
Why don't I remember that?

Flea was also in Son In Law with Pauley Shore, and one other movie I
can't remember, I think. Anthony was also in Point Break. He gets shot
in the foot.

It was a very small part; I only noticed because I recognized her name
in the opening credits.
She was the pilot Kowalski. In the barracks scene, she's the blonde in
the bra. It's hard to pick her out of the crowd most of the time.
