589.0. "Baby's Day Out" by 56649::MCPARTLAN () Mon Jul 11 1994 15:40

I went with a friend on Saturday to see "Baby's Day Out". I don't know
why, but she really wanted to see it. I'd never heard of it or seen any
adds or anything. It was a cute movie. Definitely geared to the little
ones, but I laughed a little too. I think it must've been rated "G" and
it should've been. If I had kids, I think they'd really enjoy it.

Saw this Saturday at the drive-in. Rated PG. My kids are 9 and 10,
they were a little bored. The baby was cute but the rest of the
characters were short on personality. Alot like Home Alone except that
Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern were entertaining. These three "bad guys"
were more like a bad imitation of the Three Stooges.

The second feature was Little Big League, much better than Baby.

You know, I was thinking just that during the movie! I thought, my husband
would probably *LOVE* this movie!

If your husband likes the Three Stooges, he still may not like this
movie -- The Stooges ARE funny.

Being new parents, we get out less often to see movies, so I'm
quoting a lot from reviews lately. Steve Hunter, the Baltimore Sun
movie critic, gave this no stars. He said it had one lame joke, used
over and over again: namely, that Baby led a charmed life and only the
bad guys got hurt. His summation: a baby in danger is not funny, and
neither is the movie. Being new parents, we tend to agree..
