571.0. "A Dangerous Woman" by NETRIX::michaud (Benny Hill) Mon Jun 13 1994 14:18

	This one stars Debra Winger, Barbara Hershey and Gabriel Byrne.
	Hershey plays the [relatively young] aunt and guardian of
	Winger who lives in Hershey's guest house. Winger's character
	has an un-identifiable form of mental illness. Byrne's character
	is an alchoholic who roams around doing odd jobs. He's brought
	into the story when he answers the ad for a carpenter to fix
	a porch on Hershey's home.

	Before seeing the film I had heard some good reviews of the
	film, and in Winger's performance in particular. However
	I found nothing spectacular in her performance (or the film)
	but it was a good story so I'm still giving it a thumbs up.

	ps: Jan Hooks has a cameo, see if you can spot her too

571.1Leeza Loopner Lives!!!23989::VETEIKISWed Jun 15 1994 00:3511
    I give the movie a thumbs up also. Not terrific, but entertaining and
    worth the price of rental.

    I gotta say something though and I hope it doesn't spoil the movie for
    folks....okay, here goes: Doesn't Debra Winger's acting in the movie
    remind you of Leeza Loopner of Saturday Night Live, Gilda Radner fame?
    You know: Leeza (Gilda), Todd (Bill Murray) and Ms. Loopner (Jane
    Curtain). What with the mouth action and all? Check it out cause I got a
    real chuckle out of it just thinking about the similarity.
