467.0. "The little Buddha" by 54291::PIJPSTRA_D () Wed Feb 16 1994 02:48

Anyone seen this new Bertolucci movie yet? I found a very impressive movie. It's
telling two stories: the first is about a small boy living with his parents in
Seattle. At one day they get visited by some Buddhistic (?) monks who believe the
boy is the reincarnation of one of their recently died Lama's. The other story is
about the life of (the young) Buddha. Especially this part I liked it had great
scenery, lovely music, colours just very impressive. It's a rather long movie but I
would recommend it to anyone.

I am not quite sure when it was released, it must be somewhere around the 1st of februari.
But I live in Holland, mostly we are somewhere at the end of the line when it comes to
releasing films apparantly it is the other way around this time? But be patient and don't
mis it. To be honest when we saw The little Buddha we actually planned to see another movie
but when we came to the theater it was sold out. So I didn't really know what to expect but
straight from the first minutes I was touched by this film.

Here in Austria it has been released last week.
But strange enough that this movie has been released in Europe earlier
    than in the US ?

The title I saw was "Little Budha" and yes it has NOT been
released here yet maybe springtime or early summer.....I am
anticipating seeing this as soon as it opens here wow it was sold out!?!
is it a 2 hour movie, or is it longer?

No, what I was trying to say: we didn't intend to go to Little Buddha but the
movie we planned to go (something like Men in tights) was solde out. If I recall
correctly the movie was including the in Holland mandatory (short) break (to sell
beer and noisy bags with junkfood) +/- two hours.

Need to reset your right margin to 79 or 80 to keep the text from
    	being cut off.
