464.0. "I'll Do Anything" by 28236::SKOWRONEK () Mon Feb 14 1994 11:35
I saw "I'll Do Anything" this weekend and would like to recommend that
people save their money & wait till this one is out on video (or forget
about it completely). From the commercials, I thought this would be a
cute movie about a guy who gets custody of his daughter after having no
contact with her for 6 years, and their living adjustment together.
The scenes with Nick Nolte & the daughter character are very few and
the funniest ones are in the movies preview. This movie is more about
an Emmy-nominated ('87) actor who can't find a job -- it is a *very*
boring & dull movie. Unfortunately we took my daughter and her two
friends with us to see it (we thought it would be a "kids" type of
movie like "curly sue"), and during the whole movie, wished we were
across the hall at "My Father the Hero". This is a big sleeper, so
please save your money -- there are probably 2 funny scenes in the
whole movie & most of the movie makes no sense what-so-ever.
During the whole movie, I kept saying to my SO -- "I can't believe how
*bad* this movie is" -- we applauded when it ended because we were so
happy to just leave . . . .

| I thought this was a cute movie and I actually enjoyed it.
What I really liked is that it was *not* predictable. And the
few times that I did try to predict what was going to happen
I was wrong.
Also if I remember correctly , this film was originally a Musical
believe it or not. Supposedly the test audiences hated the Musical
part of it and it was re-edited.
