And I agree that this is a very funny movie. The only SNL skit that
transferred to film successfully.

I'd have to say that Waynn's World is successful. You may or may not
have liked it but it was an SNL skit and it was successful.
I liked both movies. I don't think either was a 4* but both were pretty
good.

| Good point on WW. That was certainly "successful" in the sense of
making lots of money and getting a sequel. Perhaps I had the older
SNL skits (like The Coneheads) in mind.
As far as humor is concerned I'll take TBB any day over WW.
Am I showing my age? ;-)

| I also agree that both of these films were successful. But, TBB is
a classic whereas WW has to stand the test of time like TBB has. IMHO
I think it will.

And for you cameo lovers...
Joe Walsh plays the convict who leaps on the table to start the
dancing in the closing sequence... also credited at the bottom of
the cast list...
The Blues Brothers is my favourite film of all time, simply
defined as such because I can and do watch it again and again
without ever getting fed up. Is this because a lot of it can be
classed as strung-together music videos which are intended to
be viewed many times??
Also the first video I actually bought a copy of.

| I was an extra in the Blues Brothers movie. I was in the scene at the
concert. We did that number at least 5-8 times. It was lots of fun.
I can't be see (even though I stood on the chair) but my then boyfried
threw his cowboy hat into the air during the scene and it was captured
onto the film.

Jeez - I love telling people this . . .
At a 'memrobilia' auction, mt girlfriend and I boughta night at Dan
Ackroyd's House of Blues in Boston. Dinner, drink, bottle of
champagne, a show, etc. Pretty cool, but the *best* part was that one
of the original Bluesmobiles picked us up and brought us home.
It had the huge megahorn on top ( they added the CD player, I think
:-) ). One of the 3 that was still in one piece from the original
fleet of 15 used during the movie. Quite as experience, especially as
the driver was a Boston native ( and drove like one! :-) )
A great night, as you would expect...

That's Cambridge, not Boston, correct? We're on the correct side
of the river... :-) The car tours around Cambridge every weekend
but I didn't know that it was one of the actual movie cars.

Does anyone have a figure for the number of police cars written off in
this film? And what about that parallel parking. Don't try that one

| I don't know about anyone else, but movie ruined any future movie for
me that has any scene with swat teams/police storming a building.
Whenever I see that in another film, all I hear is the "hut,hut,hut..."
sounds from this movie.

| Great music, great film, great laughs. The "band" was a lot of very
talented names in the music business but the scene that always knocks
me out is the one with Ray Charles where the photographer captures the
keyboard reflection in Ray's glasses. Excellent. Can't begin to count
the times I have seen this and every time it's a real pleasure.
"We're on a mission from God". This note makes me realize it's time for
another viewing.
