I assume your serious. She really wants an autographed photo for her nephew?
Does she have any idea what the Friday 13th films are like? I wouldn't want
to censor these or any other films but I would strongly discourage (and not
allow if possible) my nephew to see these, much less encourage it with an
autographed photo.

| Depends on the age of the nephew. If he's under 10 then I'd agree, but if
he's a teenager then it would make sense. Slasher films are made mostly for
teenagers who are the only people who seem to be able to stomach those movies
much less enjoy them.
For anyone over 21, if the gore doesn't get you the bad acting will really
turn your stomach.

| Believe it or not, I am serious!
She originally had an autograph of the actor that her nephew gave her to
put a copy of in a family newsletter, and she accidently lost it, so she'd
like to replace it for him.
FWIW - her nephew is over 10...

There have been about 5 actors who played Jason.
In the last 3 or so movies the actors name was Kane Hodder.
I don't know how to get in touch with him. Maybe by contacting the
company that produced the movies.
He does make the rounds at horror conventions and things like
Spookyworld. I'll post here if I see he will be appearing somewhere.

429.5 | CJ Graham, Kane Hodder, and others... | DECWET::HAYNES | | Fri Jan 14 1994 14:37 | 11 |
| Lets see....
in Part 6, JASON LIVES the actor was C.J. Graham,
in Part 7, 8 & 9 it was Kane Hodder,
If you want the Jasons from 2,3,4, & 5 I can look them up...
(I know they are kind of senseless, but I kinda like the movies, enough
to have them on Video. Course, I also liked the Halloween movies too!)

I got the whole set used for $50 a few years ago ... watched them
all in a 2-week span. Great stuff!!
The "Halloween" set will be next ... but I might skip #3.

429.7 | #3 ok, but subjectually dumb... | DECWET::HAYNES | | Mon Jan 17 1994 12:35 | 6 |
| Well, as far as it goes, I thought it was stupid to include #3 as one
of THE Halloween movies, but on it's own I didn't think too badly of
it, once I got over the spitefullness of Michael Myers not being in
it...

| That's right...(BTW, there was only 1 Jason prior to #3, Jason was only
mentioned in Part 1.)

Actually, Jason dragged that girl into the water in part I, so
he did make a brief appearance.
And I just saw part IX [well, some of it] the other night and I'd
forgotten how gross it is watching a coroner take a bite out of a
corpse's heart. 8^)
