The Mighty Quinn. I even rented it when it first
came out on video but I never ended up watching it :-(

Could you be more specific in what your looking for? New films, older films,
"holiday" films, etc.

| "The Mighty Quinn" is a terrific vehicle for Washington, and he
certainly is wonderful in it. The music is great, but the plot
is a bit tedious and predictable. Robert Townsend is wonderful
as his old friend who he must track down, and Sheryl Lee Ralph
is great as his wife.
An enjoyable movie, though not a great one.

>> What was it (The Mighty Quinn) basically about?
It was a murder mystery. It took place on a small caribbean island, with
Denzel as the chief constable.
Worth watching.

Typically I like movies made in the last 20 years or so. I like "Drama"
and foreign films, but also comedies.
The Might Quinn sounds pretty good. I'll have to check it out.

A little known film I like released not long ago is _Paradise_. It was the
first film that Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson made together. The basic
storyline is that a young boy goes to the country to stay for a few weeks
with a couple whose lives have been ripped apart by the death of thier son
a couple of years earlier. By the end of the film they are on the way to
healing as a result of the boys presence in thier lives. It's an enjoyable
and moving film.

| I rented Paradise with Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith and I really disliked
it a lot. They just don't do well in mushy roles.
It's probably true that it was their 1st movie but they did do a Miami Vice
episode together prior to doing Paradise in which Griffith played a Madam
running a prostitution ring. That episode was one of the best Miami Vice
episodes and it was much better than Paradise.

American Dreamer is a good romantic comedy starring Jobeth Williams (is
that her name? I'm having a memory lapse) and Tom Conti.
It's an improbable tale, but is quite fun.
