Until today I didn't even know this notesfile existed, but after
watching a movie at the weekend I became so confused, I felt needed to
seek some help on the subject of The Trial. What was it all about, does
anyone know ?

If you saw the Orson Welles version, starring Anthony Perkins, I'd say
it's about the variety of ways we turn traitor to our humanity in the
hope of escaping society's big mulcher, and how we get mulched anyway.
Either that or it's about shooting high-contrast black-and-white
footage in spooky buildings.

I saw the one with Anthony Perkins back in college in '84. This was a
very strange movie, we spent hours talking about it afterwards.....
