New (comedy) movie called "Mr. Wonderful" starts today. Starring Matt Dillon, Anabelle Sciorra & William Hurt. The storyline (I think) is that Dillon and Sciorra are divorced and even though he is still in love with her, he is trying to fix her up with a new man (enter Bill Hurt). Anybody know anything more?

Siskel & Ebert want to know what Matt Dillon, Anabelle Sciorra and William Hurt are doing in a tired old formula exercise like this. They liked the scene where Matt's character lights up Anabelle's garden in twinkly white Christmas lights; aside from that, it's a maybe-on- dollar-night when it hits video... Leslie | |||||

I saw it Friday night because I'm a William Hurt fan. They should have put him down as a *cameo* appearance. Definitely not enough William Hurt and wayyy too much Matt Dillon in the movie. Plus, there just weren't any sparks between him and Anabelle Sciorra. Thumbs up for the lit-up garden; thumbs down for the rest. Catherine |
