Claude is a moron, or he leads everyone to believe it at
least. I prefer Dolph Lundgren, who plays the same roles
but is better at it, for whatever reasons. Doesn't seem
to be as much of an idiot.

Rockie I and Rambo First Blood were good movies. Rockie II and Rambo were
ok but not that great. Now he's suffering from the fact that they tried to
stretch those ideas too far and he hasn't been able to come up with anything
new.
Bruce Willis was pretty good in a movie I really hated where he played an
abusive husband who got murdered by his really stupid wife who had really
stupid relatives and friends. Anyone remember the name of that film?
Moonlighting was an ok TV show. When ever he tries to be an action hero
he's pretty bad.
As for the other guy, I don't know.
What this has to do with the good son? I guess nothing.

Dolph has a degree in Chemical engineering I think. Compared to Claude
he's a frigging Einstein. This last movie Claude did he said to the
press "I don't take my shirt off in movies anymore unless it's a
real important scene that requires it." Duh..... :()

I believe that movie was MORTAL THOUGHTS, with Demi Moore as the wife.
I saw that one on a sneak preview from a local radio station. I was
buying a ticket for some other movie, and one of the radio folks walked
up to me and asked if I wanted to see a free movie. Even with it being
free and a sneak, the theater wasn't even half full.

| Well, I like pretty much all of the "morons" mentioned. Most of them
(Arnie, Sylvester, Jean-Claude, Dolph), are indeed genre actors. Bruce
Willis seems an apt enough actor, although he generally plays the same
sort of guy. I sincerely doubt that any of these people are
intellectually-challenged, no matter how stupid they might appear on
the screen.

| I, actually, thought Mortal Thoughts was a pretty good movie. It was a
fairly good portrayal of wife abuse, plus the acting was good, even
Willis' I admit. Demi Moore was good in that. She's definitely more
talented than hubby, I think. And, I know Bruce Willis can't be that
stupid in real life, because Demi Moore sounds reasonably intelligent
in interviews and I don't think she'd marry a stupid man. But, I still
hate most of his movies.
Arnold S. is supposed to be intelligent, too, but I disagree with his
politics. But, I don't think Maria Shriver would marry a stupid man,
either! :-)

Small nit, Demi Moore was the wife's best friend in Mortal Thoughts not
the wife.
She's definitely more likeable than Bruce. I think he peaked in Die
Hard one, and a lot of people refuse to admit it. Being in California,
one hears from friends of friends of friends... and he's also
reportedly somewhat of a jerk in real life.

Don't count Arnold as one of the morons. Arnold was into buying
property back when he was bodybuilding. I heard he was rich before
even doing movies. The way he has built his career is brillant.

| re .11, well, in my opinion I think that even successful people should
realize that circumstances vary for everyone, and that just because he
"made it" that doesn't mean that everyone can. However, this is a
movie topic, and I don't want to get into politics. Let it suffice to
say that I think Ahnold's politics stink. I don't think he's stupid,
though. And, yes, I admit it's always quite a coup to snag one of the
Kennedy grandchildren. :-) (I wouldn't mind a crack at Joe, Jr.

..a small mistake, Arnie is from Graz (that's the capital of Styria) in
Austria.
Even if his movies are not my taste at all, I think it's great what
he has achieved.
What I admire and what distinguishes him from others, is that he
donates not only money for e.g. children who have an impediment (I
don't know the correct adjective), but he spends his time to work with
them. Last year for example he was at the Special Olympics which
took place here in Austria and I had the impression that it was not
only a PR gag, but a real concern of him.

I agree that Mortal Thoughts was a fairly good portrayal of wife abuse. The
reason I didn't like it was that there were no likable characters.
As I recall, everyone was either abusive, very stupid, or so high strung they
couldn't hold a rational thought in their head for a moment. For example, I
seem to remember one scene where an entire "grieving" family was chasing Demi
More's character down a hall trying to stop her from getting into a truck used
for a crime when a more sensible approach would have been for one of them to
dial 911. Either they were all very stupid or that scene was poorly made.
Likewise with the bumbling attempts at covering up the crime. By the end of
the show I had no sympathy for any of them. It was little more than a movie
about idiots being abusive to other idiots.
Mind you they did a very good job of it, but I find it very difficult to like
a movie, no matter how well it is made, when I can't grow to like any of the
characters.

| re .17, I, also, have trouble liking a movie if I don't like any of the
characters, but in the case of Mortal Thoughts I found Demi Moore's
character at least somewhat sympathetic. I wasn't crazy about her, but
I liked her enough to get interested in what happened to her, and to
sort've side with her or take her viewpoint on the situation. I, also,
enjoyed the friendship between the two women in the beginning of the
movie.
As far as the characters being stupid...well, I didn't get the
impression that any of them were supposed to be geniuses, but that's no
reason not to like people, or not to be sympathetic to their cause, is
it?
