	Raymond Burr died last night of liver cancer at the age of 76.
	He was of course most well known for his role as Perry
	Mason in both the old TV series and revived Perry Mason
	"made for TV" movies.  He won two Emmys in the original
	nine year run.

	Before he was in TV he was in the movies, and his best known
	role was in Hitchcock's "Rear Window".

	He also had another successful TV series, "Ironside".

	He was twice widowed and once divorved.  His only son
	had died of Lukiema.

	He was also in the Americanized version of the very first Godzilla movie, and in the anniversary remake. This isn't meant as a cut. I mean, unless you loathe Godzilla movies. He played an Edward R. Murrow type. DFW
