What's a common source for this info? The papers I read only list the grosses of the top ten movies each week. It's just as interesting to know about the box office failures, but that info isn't so readily available. I was wondering in particular about Super Mario Brothers, which sure came and went in a second. But I'd like to know how much it actually lost at the box office (assuming the cost of the movie is also public info). Neil

But Weekly Variety publishes grosses for the top 60 or so movies each week; that covers most everything that's in first-run release, and certainly anything that's playing at 5 or more screens. Available in finer libraries everywhere (including Nashua) or on my bookshelf at home; I'll try to remember to bring it in tomorrow. |
