250.0. "The Meat Train" by 44247::DWALLACE (Fabs of Rage II) Sun Jul 11 1993 23:08

Am halfway through reading "Books Of Blood I, II & III" & couldn't
help thinking that one of the short stories in the first book was
very good material for a gorey/shocking film. The author is Clive
Barker and the story title is that of this note. This is a
particularly 'graphic' short story - one of those ilk whereby it
prey's on your mind when you're just sitting around doing/thinking
    nothing much in particular.

    Plot & possible << spoiler warning >>

VERY short plot description : Man idolises NY throughout child-
hood. Moves there as young man. Discovers dark side of city - dirty,
sick, dishonest, murderous. Dwells on particularly gorey serial murders
where people found shaved , clothes folded neatly, butchered as you
would a cow & bodies bagged.
Scene where serial killer is profiled. He
picks 'good meat' (fit/pure people). The two meet on subway train (
obviously unbeknown to man 1. Man 1 sees killer stab, cut throats,
butcher & bag. Killer sees man man kills killer. Train stops @ secret
subway station. Doors open to stench of death. Cannibal humanoids enter
& see killer on floor & turn to man 1 explaining he was their servant
& killed to feed them, ripped man 1 tongue out, ate it & bewitched him
    into performing same deeds.

That was a tired & time constraining desctiption of the story which had
a few other pertinant storylines. Has anyone read this......

Anyone ever hear of or see a film follow this plot....
