191.0. "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" by 5235::J_TOMAO (Free your mind and the rest will follow..) Tue May 18 1993 13:53

    Excellent!!!! Excellent movie!!!!

    I have only seen one or two Bruce Lee films but I am very familiar with
    his story and his style.

    Jason Scott Lee (no relation) Did an awesome job of portraying BL. JSL
    was absolutly great to watch for 2 hours too :^)

    This is the story of Bruce Lee's life based on a book his wife Linda
    wrote. Great entertainment - lots of fights (of course) but I thought
    they did a good job of showing little to no graphic bloody scenes.

    This is one I wil rent and watch again but try and see it on the big
    screen.

191.1Not bad, grade = B-.12027::BRASSFri May 28 1993 16:545
I felt this movie was not bad. I do not think it is a very accurate story
of his life but, it did have some interesting parts. I was dissappointed that
they left some well known true things out of the movie, and added a lot
of probably not true/definately not true/fantasy stuff in.

191.2poss. banned in the Uk42806::BODDYSlaven was born offside !!!Wed Jun 02 1993 12:146

    I have heard that this film could be banned in the UK because it shows
    scenes with Lee using the Nankutcha ( sp?) . These sticks with a chain
    in the middle are banned here .

191.3A few small cuts...YUPPY::EVANSJThis Boys LifeThu Jun 03 1993 11:018
    Last I heard about that the British Board of Film Classification were
    requesting that those scenes be cut - I assume they are the ones from
    the end of "Enter the Dragon"

    I saw a trailer for the movie and it looked quite good. There is going
    to be a tie-in book available in the U.K. published by Warner Books.

    Does the British Board of Film Classification request that any scenes
    featuring a handgun be cut from movies?

    I think it's more a 'ninja' thing. :^)

    The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
    on their trans-atlantic journey. :^)

Don't expect a sensible answer to this one. Noone knows by what criteria the
BBFC make their decisions. Random snipping seems to be the most popular
method !

    a bit late in reply but here goes....

    the BBFC don't allow the word "chainsaw" either in movie titles anymore
    so.."hollywood chainsaw hookers" becomes.."Hollywood(insert picture of
    a chainsaw)hookers".Its a really stupid rule but one they plan to stick
    with!
