His first name is Penolope (sp?) and I believe, but not sure
that her full name is Peanolope Ann Miller. She was also in
"Other Peoples Money", and it may of been her also in the
movie "The Freshman".

I don't know if she was in "Year of the Comet", but Penolope Ann Miller
was in "Other Peoples Money", "The Freshman", "Big Top Pee Wee" (she
played the school teacher), and also I believe "The Gun in Mary Lou's
Handbag" (or some such title...)

p.s. oh ya, and "Awakenings" too.

| I saw Year of the Comet. I enjoyed it but would not recommend
paying full price to see it. Beautiful scenery. Bad or at least
misleading title (unless you're a very serious wine-lover).

| Misleading title is an understatement.....I read the write-up before I
rented it and since I'm pretty good at rememebr ing storylines of hits,
and this one I didn't recognize, I knew I was in for an 'interesting'
or 'amusing' story. It was o.k. and it had a few good little plot
twists. It was worth the rental price.
We saw this the same night we rented Single White Female and got to see
both the "Wings" Brothers in one night :^}

| I will pan this one. I turned it off after about 45 minutes. So light
on content the tape literally floated out of my VCR...

| I had rented this because I remember seeing the trailer in the cinema
and thinking it really captured the breathtaking beauty of the Isle of
Skye.
I rented it, and was pleasantly surprised to see it also had
breathtaking scenery around Cannes.
I kept hoping that the actors would stay off-screen and was annoyed
when they did close-ups or went indoors. As the previous reply said,
*very* light. The actor who played the male lead was wooden, though
Penelope Ann Miller was okay. I remember thinking that he was a
second-rate Tom Selleck in the role.
Cheaper to rent this than go to the Scottish Highlands (unless you live
there, of course), and probably has better production values than a
travelogue.
Cheers,
George

You're right. I wish there would have been more scenery. It really was
the best part of the movie. There was one shot of a gorgeous Scottish
castle on a small island in a loch. This castle is Eilean Donan and it
gets my vote as the most beautiful castle in the U.K.
