| I thought it was from before Batman, maybe in Chinatown. Robin Williams
used it in his Live at the Met show, which was made around 1986.

60.3 | Waayyyy before Batman - about 1977 or so | 16821::POGAR | Resident Movie Critic & Costner Fan | Tue Mar 09 1993 18:24 | 11 |
| I just asked the other resident movie critic here, and the expert said:
His best guess is that is was in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST. The
critic mumbled who Sparky was, but his mouth was full of the popcorn
I just made. I can find out about Sparky, if no one else knows.

| Just a guess, but I suspect "Sparky" is the psychiatriac hospital's
electro-shock machine. "Inmates" (be they psychiatric or criminal)
often give names to such machines: in fact, "Sparky" is the name of
Georgia's electric chair.

| Did Jack Nicholson have a role in "The Bridge on the River Kwai"?
I do not remember him in this, but saw something recently that purports
to list it among his films. An uncredited extra, perhaps?
|
60.6 | Maybe... | DECWET::HAYNES | | Fri Feb 18 1994 11:34 | 5 |
| The Video Guide (1994) by Martin & Porter don't show him as a main
listing in that movie, but he COULD have been an "uncredited extra"....

| The Bridge on the River Kwai was made in 1957...3 years prior to
Nickolson's "Little Shop of Horrors..."

My first credit for Nicholson is "The Cry Baby Killer" (1958).
So I guess it could be true...
