I have a customer running SQL/Services 6.1-02, odbc 2.0.20 and has had a MSAccess 2.0 application running for about 2 months. All of a sudden, the 2 processes created by MSA through SQL/Services are not locking each other out of the db... he has never seen this before. Neither have I except for instances where ft software of the ODBC driver 1.1 were used. Anyone know / hear about this happening with the above configuration? Thanks, Renee

Problem turned out to be a user started SQL/Services last week from his own account and not the system account. They took SQL/Services back down and restarted it with the system account and all is well again, no more deadlocks. Just thought I would document in case.... Renee |
