Hi all, CDD 6.1
I have a customer that is having problems with his non-priv'd users
creating repositories. He's gettting an error trying to write the
CDD$DATABASE.RDB file to the directory.
All the directories have ACL's on them. the user has a resource id that
allows full access to the directory ect.
When they do the define repository they get the error that it can't
write the cdd$database file and looking at the ACL's, The users ACL
is now below the [*,*] one.
So as a workaround, they thought they would try to grant CDD$SYSTEM to
the user (I don't think this is supported?), but in the middle of the
DEFINE CDD removes it from the process and the define fails.
Is it ok to have ACL's on a dir when you define a new repository there?
thanks
jay
