CDD 6.1 I just a check here, its been so long since i have had any customer calls about CDD ACLS. Basically, to control a users access to the dictionary you do everything in CDO, you don't change ACL's on the anchor directory or the files in it? Also, the acl's on anchor files should never change (when you add or remove a user access?) thanks jay

Hi Jay, yes everything should be done within CDO . You should not have to do anything on the anchor directory nor on the files of the anchor. However, supposed you set a protection environment for a particular user in CDD/R and then later remove this user from the system, you may need to clean things at VMS and SQL level in addition do CDO. But even after this, I am not sure if obsolete references have totally disappeared from the CDD$DATABASE; this has to be checked . I don't think VERIFY/LOCATION/FIX could help . May be VERIFY/DIRECTORY/FIX or VERIFY/REBUILD_DIRECTORY ? Patrick | |||||
