It is a known bug in 1.2. We went into an infinite loop trying to
validate a certain type of view. Can they get 1.3.5?

| That helps!
:)
I'll mention 1.3.5, they are running 7.3, so not sure if they can upgrade
to 7.3.3 yet...
Thanks for the help!

As an FYI,
Depending on what your customer is doing, 7.3.3 may not be required.
I'm using 1.3.5 against my local 7.2 database fine...

751.5 | Do we know what activities require 7.3.3 | BROKE::BASTINE | | Thu May 15 1997 11:35 | 10 |
| That's great!!
Do you have a list of what "depending on what you are doing" will allow you
to keep your old version of Oracle?
What features of 1.3.5 require 7.3.3, maybe that is an easier question?
Thanks!!

I think everything will work except applications which have hardcoded
dependencies on the server. The only two that I'm aware of that have
these types of dependencies are trace and the agent.
