The OEM web site is excellent and gives me access to virtually
everything I need, but I still need to understand how we make the
documentation available to customers so I can help them. A customer
has requested shipment of the OEM documentation but it is in a very
confusing state at the moment.
Issue 1: Why does the OEM w/ Performance Pack bundle 1.3.5 for NT/W95,
part number A52835, only come with the following documentation ?
A48481 Oracle Enterprise Manager Installation Guide V1.3
A48479 Oracle Enterprise Manager Concepts Guide V1.3
A48485 Oracle Enterprise Manager Readme V1.3
A43753 Global License Terms Agreement
A52867 CD-ROM
Is this the truncated kit that ships with every server license ?
Issue 2: What exactly comes with the Oracle Enterprise Manager
Documentation Set V1.3 (A52808) ? Does it include the Application
Developer's Guide ?
Issue 3: Why are the following part numbers not available from either
the "parts" script or the USA Revenue Accounting & Contract
Administration Web Parts Search Engine at
http://usa-revenue-nt.us.oracle.com/part_query ? Does this mean the
documents are not orderable or shippable ? When will this be resolved?
A48482 OEM Administrator's Guide, Release 1.3.5
A48483 OEM Application Developer's Guide, Release 1.3.5
A45442 Oracle Parallel Server Support for the OEM Console, Rel. 1.3
Issue 4: Does the Oracle Parallel Server Support for the OEM Console,
Release 1.3 (A45442) manual ship with the Parallel Server Option by
default ?
Issue 5: If OEM started shipping with Oracle 7.3.0, why is there no
OEM documentation on the Oracle Product Documentation Library Release
1.0.16, June 1996 (A14538) ? Was Oracle Book retired in favor of the
Acrobat PDF format after this CD was released ? Is Acrobat PDF going
to be retired in favor of HTML (which is now being provided with
1.3.5) ?

I can answer this one:
It contains:
Performance Monitoring User's Guide
Messages Manual
Application Developer's Guide
Oracle Trace User's Guide
Administrator's Guide
Oracle Expert User's Guide
1.3.5 Installation Guide
1.3.5 Concepts Guide
I just ordered A52808 and the above is what I got.

747.2 | Are the rest 1.2 or 1.2 manuals ? | NOMAHS::SECRIST | Rdb WWS; [email protected] | Tue May 06 1997 22:26 | 7 |

Thanks ! Is all of the stuff where you don't list a version really
"1.2" manuals or "1.3" manuals ?

Thanks all. Now I know that if a customer wants a kit and
full documentation I can request A52835 and A52808 without
any duplicated items.
