I have a customer that just upgraded to Expert 3.0A.  I see the latest release
is 3.1, but with 3.0A the customer is experiencing the following problems with
GSE.  Are they fixed in 3.1?


He said that when using 2.1A of Expert, after doing an import, he could click
on the logical schema and it would bring up GSE.  3.0A doesn't do that, it
brings up a text editor with the SQL used for the database.  Is this expected,
or will 3.1 allow GSE to be invoked when clicking this again.

Also when he calls up GSE, it used to give him a directory box, he could choose
a directory, then went on to the 2nd window (not sure what window that is), but
then he said when he upgraded to expert 3.0A, and now he calls up GSE that
directory box no longer appears... he just gets the second window.

Do any of these problems sound familiar with 3.0A that might be fixed if
I tell him to upgrade to 3.1?

	Hi Renee,

	All releases of Oracle Expert for Rdb after 2.1A support a text editor
	of the schema only. It will no longer bring up GSE automatically
	like previous versions. Instead when you view the schema it brings
	up a text editor that has the schema definition. Therefore, upgrading 
	to Expert 3.1 will not change the behavior they are seeing.

	The release notes for Expert give a detailed explanation of how to
	use the new Expert with GSE. Ask them review the notes to
	make sure that they are following the right steps to use the
	products together.

	I'm not sure what they are referring to with the missing directory
	box. Once they review the release notes if they still have a problem
	that they are unable to select the repository when they enter GSE
	please let me know and I'll look into it further.
