I have a customer with Windows 95, pathworks 5 and on the client Pathworks 1.0 (not A as he does not have a server V6). He claims that he got a fix from a collegue (who is on holiday now), that let him use Odbc 2.0.20 in that environment. Now, 2.0.20 has a prerequisiste of 1.0A with patch, and I wonder if anyone can imagine what else than PWSOCK32.DLL from that kit could have made that miracle and let it work on PW 1.0. He wants to spread this to more PC's and can't seem to get it running again. He won't upgrade Pathworks because that means big license bucks for him. Thanks, Regina

Hi Regina, We had nothing but problems with PW 1.0. We were never able to get this to work. We were only able to work with Pathworks 1.0A plus a patch (which was a new PWSOCK32.DLL). From what I hear, your customer is asking for big trouble trying to use PW 1.0 on Windows 95. Sue |
