I think that this was meant to be posted in the Trace Notes file: ================================================================================ Note 752.0 OEM 1.3.5 Collection Bug No replies NOMAHS::SECRIST "Rdb WWS; [email protected]" 13 lines 14-MAY-1997 18:08 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the OEM 1.3.5 release notes 8.2.1.1 says that if a user isn't connected at the time a collection starts no data will be collected for that user. This is a significant impediment -- when will this be fixed ? If Larry is logged in as process id 12345 when a collection starts and data is collected for him does this also mean that once Larry logs out and reconnects as process id 19999 that data will also be collected for Larry ? Regards, rcs

465.1 | per known session for 7.3.x | OMYGOD::LAVASH | Same as it ever was... | Wed May 28 1997 14:13 | 13 |
Fixed in 8.0.3 of the RDBMS. Larry 2 will NOT collect. This was a restriction placed on us by the server group and removed for 8.0.3. Collection activation in 7.3.x is done via stored procedures that must be given the session id of the target session to have collection turned on for. Other than init.ora parameters that's all there is. George |
