Hi,

Oracle Enterprise Manager 1.3.5
Windows NT 4.0
Oracle 7.3.3
SQL*Net 2.3.3

Customer is using trace to record a data session out of the oracle
performance manager.  They get the following error:

    vmm error 1006, error during initialization for recording

when recording data to a file.

What should they look for?  They have 2 laptops with the above products
installed. One of them is working and the other gets this error so
must be environmental.

	Hi Diane,

	It could be that some of the files are
	corrupt.

	Try the following 2 steps and let me know if this 
	resolves the problem.

	1) Delete $ORACLE_HOME/otra73/admin/*.dat

	2) Run the following to recreate files with

		$ORACLE_HOME/bin/otrccref.exe

	Let me know how tis works.

Hi Sheri,

I don't know if this worked yet.  Only got a message from the customer
re: 460 so have left her another vm asking if this worked.  Hopefully
the news is good!
