452.0. "Trace not registering stream id > 1" by rdb4me.au.oracle.com::DLAWLER (Press any key to continue or any other key to quit...) Sun Mar 16 1997 22:32

Hi,

Trace 2.1-3A
Rdb 7.0MV
VMS 6.2-1h2

Customer reports that stream id's > 1 aren't being recognised for his
multi-attach sessions.

A similar problem was touched-on in 397.1 which alluded to it being an Rdb
problem for 6.*.

Is this still a known problem?

Cheers,
Dennis.

	Hi Dennis,

I'd recomment that you post a note in the Rdb Notesfile.
The note that you reference says that they put in an ECO in Rdb 6.*
but your using 7.0, indicating that you may have a case that
wasn't addressed. I remember that Norm put some changes in.

If you have a reproducible case that would be beneficial.

I'd also recommend that you get a copy of the latest Trace 2.2.
It's on WRVMS under PATCH$, RDB, TRACE directory. If after you
try with Trace 2.2 you still see the problem get as much information
as you can to the Rdb folks.

	Thanks,
	Sheri

Hi Sheri,

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't mention this originally, but the customer is collecting Rdb7 facility
data into an Rdb 6.0a collection db.
The customer has agreed to upgrade Trace to 2.2, convert the collection db to
Rdb7 and, if possible, provide a reproduceable case.

Cheers,
Dennis.
