Well, I'm in the pathworks group here in Littleton, working on the Excursion
x server. I was originally on the vtstar team.

I spoke with one of the business people in pathworks the other day. They
explained that it's cheaper to pay Powerterm than pay internal engineers
a salary to support vtstar.

But your idea of replacing the vt320 emulator on the pathworks kit with vtstar
is a good idea.

If we got Microsoft to include it in Windows and maintain it, it would
probably save DEC enough in install time of KEAterm, etc., to pay for the
sunk costs in VTstar.

The other place to send it is to the Kermit folk. They claim that Kermit95
has the best VTxxx emulator; if this isn't the case currently, VTstar would
give them the basis for making good on the claim. In exchange, we could ask
for a corporate license to Kermit95 et al. and/or Alpha versions of Kermit95.
