924.0. "Bird boarding" by SUBSYS::MISTOVICH () Wed Jul 31 1996 13:40
I plan to install new rugs and would like my birds to be out of my condo for 2
weeks, while any new rug chemicals/smells dissipate.
1. Has anybody had birds in there home when new rugs were installed? Am I being
overly concerned?
2. Does anybody know of a good place within, say, 45 minutes of Leominster where
I could safely board my birds? (I have 7 cages and 17 birds!) In the past I
boarded them once at a pet store in Townsend, but that place has really gone
downhill in the past couple of years, so I won't even go in there any more!
3. If a reader here is interested in boarding them, who has good experience in
bird care and can safely quarantine them from their own pets, please write.
Maybe we can work something out, and I will pay well.
Thanks, Mary
