635.0. "And One more makes..." by SWEETP::EAGER () Mon Dec 16 1991 16:08
Well, I've gone and done it again. One of my fellow engineers here
at DEC has a Grey named Jenny, that he wanted to find a good home
for.
I had seen the bird before and she is a doll, although I firmly
believe that Jenny is really a Benny. I offered a good home if I
could get the all-american-easy-payment-plan. It was excepted and
I picked up Jenny friday and brought her/him home.
I've scheduled Her/him for a feather sex-test the week of
Christmas. In the meanwhile I placed her/him in a separate cage
just outside the cage with my two suspected females. Each day I
put her/him in the cage with the females so they can slowly get used
to each other.
So far she/he has adapted very well. She/he has such a vocabulary
that she/he makes my other grey, Jonsey, look like a deaf-mute. With
my video cameras, I'm getting some pretty good shots. Especially of the
other male in the next cage. He does not like Jenny at all. This only
helps to confirm my belief that Jenny is really Benny.
