618.0. "white finches" by GIAMEM::TOLLES () Mon Oct 28 1991 13:06
My little family of zebra finches has given me some baby finches.
I estimate them to be approximately three weeks old - they can fly,
but I have not seen them feeding themselves.
Anyway, they are all white with black beaks. I understand that
the beaks will change color when they are about three months old,
but what about their feathers? When do I find out if I have
females or males?
My zebra family started out with three females, and two males.
They're worse than rabbits! I'm definitely going to separate
them very soon (as soon as the next two clutches are hatched).
Thanks!
