i did it! i did it!
this weekend i was told that my horse was on the disabled list for
the rest of his life -- that he could only go on short, non-exerting
rides. after being use to riding for several hours per ride more often
than not per week i was horrified because i didn't know what i was
going to do with myself. BUT I DO NOW!
i bought a red lore or (lord) amazon baby last night. he is only 8
weeks old and will not be ready to leave for a while (right around my
birthday!). i want to get him home asap though so i can spoon feed him
and he can get use to my home and hubbie and me!
thanks to all you notes i realized that a too wasn't for me, but that
an amazon seemed to fit more into my family style. does anybody have
one? can you tell me about your red lore amazon....yellow-cheeked
amazon?

Hi, congragulations....I have a red lored amazon named Marley
and he is really a character..He was my first bird and have had
him now for about 4 yrs...He does not have a good a vocabulary
as his buddy Paco the yellow nape, but he says a lot and knows
a few songs...He loves showers and loves to watch tv, sesame st.
is his favorite...and he loves reggae music...
Let me know if you would like to know more...I love to talk about
the kids..

I found a name for my bird Attilio!
My cousin is out from Australia with his friend Attilio.
As he introduced me, I said, "What a GREAT name for my new bird.".
