I have 5 tiels - 2 pair I am trying to mate - and a 2-1/2
month tiel. Now - each pair is in thier own cage - and
Smokie (the baby) is in her own gage. I was even guessing
that She was a He as she was making the mating noises like
my other two males - and was sooo verbal. Ok - "SHE" layed an
egg last night - sitting on my husband (He really loved that!).
No straining - just plop. Isn't that a little young?? Of course my
two other females haven't done a thing! I put the egg in with one
of the couples trying to stimulate them. They are all loose
when we are at home - so Smokie could have gotten with one of the
males - but I realy don't think so. I keep on coming back to
ISN'T SHE AWFULLY YOUNG??? I sure didn't read anything like this
in any of the 5 books I have read so far!
Anyone else ever have this experience?
Thanks!
Dora

Are you ***sure*** of the age? An obvious question, but someone had
to ask.... Seems awfully young to me too. /Linda C.

--- YEP - I was there the day after she was born - December 26th. I
am friends with the breeder - so I got to play with her every couple
of days - so I watched her grow. Sure is wierd! My breeder friend said
she had never seen anything like it. I realy don't know what
to do with her - I am so worried that she might hurt herself.
Nature sure is funny!
