FYI..... Birds Of A Feather (BOAF) Avicultural Society has recently moved their meeting location from Hampton NH to Manchester. IF anyone would like more information about the club or attend a meeting to get aquainted prior to joining, I have listed the location and meeting times below: Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month (Next meeting is scheduled for February 11th). Place: Holiday Inn - West (Exit 6 off I293 - Amoskeag Bridge Exit) Holiday in is right off exit on right. Can't miss it. Time: Meeting starts @ 8:00 (7:30 for socializing) Coffee & Goodies are available. Guest Speaker for February is Dr. Alexandra Kilgore DVM. Raffles are held at each meeting and include birds (purchased by the club. You must be a member in order to win the birds, however you need not be a member for anything else on the raffle table.) Club offerings: Monthly bulletin mailed out to each member (includes club information, interesting articles and stories by club members as well as information on federal and state clubs/federations. Auction held twice a year (April/October) Annual Bird Show - Held in September A great way in which to meet other bird enthusiasts and breeders. Learn more about birds/breeding/health, etc. If you love birds, this is a good way to learn and have fun too! For more information, please feel free to contact me. Regards, Denise Bourgault DTN: 264-1390 Home: 603-893-8870 We are looking to increase our membership now that we have moved to a more central location.

FWIW, I attended my first meeting of this club last week and was very impressed by the friendliness and organization. It is my second year as a member, but I couldn't get myself to drive all the way to Hampton, where the meetings used to be held. Bravo for moving the meeting to a more central location! /Linda |
