Hi Bruce, I picked up my baby grey yesterday...six weeks old and we'll be handfeeding four times a day. I will be glad when I get some more confidence in my ability to handfeed and both the bird ( Heart) and I get used to one another! This is the result of several years of planning and saving and it still doesn't seem real...I think Greys are super birds and look forward to the next several weeks and the bonding process. Keep us posted on your progress with Alex. | |||||

Welcome Bruce. I'm sure that you will really enjoy your little African Grey. It is good to see that there are other bird maniacs in Windham N.H. (I am also from Windham!). If you are not yet a member of a bird club, you may want to consider joining one. You can learn so much from fellow members. It just so happens that I belong to BOAF (Birds of a Feather Avicultural Society). We meet once a month (2nd Monday) in Manchester, at the Holiday Inn_West which is right on the Amoskeag Bridge exit off 295 (About 20 minutes from Windham). If you want to find out more about the club, just drop me a line. We have over 200 members now. Best wishes! Denise B. |
