My aunt has a male grey Cockatiel. Last week they were on there porch and their Cockatiel was talking (well, squawking) back and forth with a bird outside. When they looked outside, they noticed a white cockatiel flying high in the sky. They put their bird in a cage outside and put an empty one next to him. The cockatiel flew down to the empty cage. They were able to catch him. He appears to be very young. He was scared at first and didn't know how to climb on a finger or anything. Now he seems very happy and loves to be scratched behind the neck, etc. I had a cockatiel that got loose and we never found him. I hope someone was able to catch him and give him a good home like my Aunt and Uncle were able to do for this bird. Pam

Hi Pam, You didn't mention where this happened...? It is great to hear a success story like this one. I am sorry that you never found out about your bird. That has got to be very tough on you. I hope he found good people like your aunt and uncle. Linda | |||||

It happened in Tyngsboro, Mass. I hope my bird found a good home too. He got loose in the fall when the nights were getting cold. Pam |
