364.0. "Finch Question" by BAGLDY::SIPILA (Can I go home now?) Fri May 25 1990 09:25
I have two Zebra Finches and lately they have been eating a lot
of grit.
Is this normal for them to do?
They get their regular finch seed and a seed mixture called "Bird
Salad", plus a small spray of millet, plus a piece of lettuce
and usually a treat of fresh fruit daily. Lately it has been
strawberries because they are in season.
They also peck away at the cuttle bone a lot. When I clean their
cage at night, they watch and watch to make sure I put their cup
of grit back where it belongs, and if I should forget it they tell
me about it!
Thanks for you comments.
