354.0. "Tucaman, Anyone?" by CLOSET::COMPTON (Linda DTN 232-2441 ACO/E47) Thu May 03 1990 19:52
If anyone comes across a Tucaman Amazon, pls. contact me. Went on the
Appendix 1 list recently. Saw one very sad specimen at Doktor Pet
in Watertown (I know, what was I doing in there anyway.....you don't
want to know). Dr. P. wanted about $800 for it...... They are about
the size of a White Fronted (also inaccurately called a Spectacled
Amazon, because of the red around the eyes). But...the Tucaman (sp?)
has an orange forehead, no white or blue that I could see.
Anyone else have one or know anything about them?
Thanks,
Linda
