Does anyone out there know where I would be able to find domestic pheasents? My brother is interested in breeding some and is having a hard time finding them. I think he would also like to know if its possible to breed ring necked pheasents also. Is there a breeder in this file? Thanks, Mark

Check in the back of Bird Talk. I believe there are a few breeders of game birds (bobwhites, pheasants (both ringneck and golden), canada geese, etc.). I know that I did see them there at one time. Also in Cage Bird this month, I have a name of someone who ships anywhere: Willow Game Farm Route 2, Box 415 Mt. Crawford, VA 22841 Tele: (703) 434-2209 They offer a free brochure. You may want to call them up. Another listing: Karl Mogenson, Natural Bridge Zoo, VA. (703) 291-2420 Denise B.

Hi Doug, Ya I thought he could but I would prefer to stay local. As a last resort I'll call him. Thanks, Mark

Hi Doug, We get our turkeys, pheasants, etc. from a breeder in Hubbardston, MA. Send me mail if you're interested and I can give you his name and phone number. - Andrea P.S. The ring-neck pheasants we've gotten from this person are great, as are his golden and lady amhearst. We ship them to our place on an island in RI, use them for tick control. |
