188.0. "Bitter Apple/ Listerine" by GIAENG::PULSIFER (Doug Pulsifer 296-3332) Thu Jun 01 1989 14:01
When I let Buddie(my budgie) out of his cage he goes right for the
the window sill to to chew, I would like to stop him from chewing
this and went to buy some bitter apple. The pet store I went to
didn't carry it, but suggested I mix up some Listerine and water.
I now have listerine, but forgot to ask how to mix it. Does anyone
know how many parts of Listerine to how many parts of water ?
I also read a bottle of Bitter Apple for Dogs and it is made up
of Alcohol and Bitters. Could this be used for Birds if it is not
sprayed on them, and only used as a chewing deterrent ?
I have also bought a big block of Balsa wood to add to his cage
to help satify his need to chew.
